Chuckles!

This is definitely my brain. Except I would have "My Vinyl Collection" would replace the "memes" in my cerebellum.  I have also replaced part of  my temporal and parietal lobes with "ALL THINGS MY DAUGHTERS". This is from I F*cking Love Science on Facebook. Good for a few giggles... ok, a lot of giggles.

Funny! My brain is crammed with lots of music trivia, including lyrics, notes and chords for each instrument in the song. I don't hear music like other people...I totally dissect it and pick up on parts of songs that I could mash together or mix with other songs. Would be easier if I could listen to the radio and not be stuck on a song from 15 minutes ago.

Debbie, I was JUST telling someone it is impossible for anyone to enjoy listening to music around me, because not only can I distinguish the notes played in sequence in numerous other songs-- I can pick apart every change, bridge, chorus, etc. Like, when my husband plays a new song for me and I can't control myself. Half way through I'll say something like, "They are obviously fans of The Pretty Things' "S.F.Sorrow". I know some people get it, because my old roommate, Jason, was in town over the weekend, and we were listening to an Lp my husband put one. Jason turns to me and says, "Well, they aparently listened to "No Fun" by The Stooges a lot." To which, I replied with a huge grin, "Yes, indeed!" I think that is why Hip Hop is like a game for me. I love guessing the samples. And, maybe why I started listening to Jazz, Classical, and other genres-- to give my brain some fresh entertainment. Yet, the songs that get stuck in my head are things like the theme song to Dallas. However, I have no problem listening to the same song over and over and over. Like, The Kinks' "Village Green" or Will Oldham's "I am Goodbye". Or obsessing over Roxy Music.
